FRANCESCA SIMONDI

President of the Cultural Association Messy Lab,  pottery association

In 2015 she approached the world of ceramics with great passion. In Turin she attended the pottery-wheel courses held by Lilli Morgando and Maria Teresa Frizzarin. Subsequently, in Tuscany, she trained at La Meridiana, the International School of Ceramic Art founded by Pietro Elia Maddalena. Specifically, in 2017 she took part in the "Marathon of the Turners" with Pietro Elia Maddalena and Franco Rampi, while in 2018 she followed the professional course held by John Colbeck "Porcelain and the art of the wheel" and the course of high temperature glazes held in Turin by Luca Tripaldi. She came back to La Meridiana in the summer of 2019, as assistant ceramist for John Colbeck.
 
After her graduation in Contemporary Art at the Fine Arts Academy in Turin, in 2011 she's selected by the CRT Foundation for the annual Master for Talented Newly Graduated Students. During this experience she worked in New York at the Educational Department of Gateway National Recreation Area. Between 2012 and 2016 she worked as a museum educator at GAM, Civic Gallery of Modern and Contemporary Art and at the Pinacoteca Giovanni and Marella Agnelli in Turin. She's currently working as a gallery assistant at the Alberto Peola Art Gallery. Meanwhile she manages playful and sensory clay workshops in nursery, primary and secondary schools of Turin.

MARILIA NOGUEIRA

Vice President of the Cultural Association Messy Lab, pottery association

Marilia Nogueira was born in Brazil. After graduating in Design she moved to Italy, where she worked as a graphic designer and Intercultural Mediator. In 2009 she moved to Eritrea and learned with the local ceramists the traditional method of processing and firing clay. Back to Italy, she continues her journey in the world of ceramics in the laboratory of Lilli Morgando and Maria Teresa Frizzarin, training on the techniques of working clay hand-shaped and on the pottery-wheel. She manages educational workshops for children in the field of ceramics. At the same time, she carries on her personal work as illustrator with passion, mixing different techniques such as watercolor and digital illustration, techniques which she also applies on ceramics.

ANNA CHIARA GAUDE

Secretary of the Cultural Association Messy Lab, pottery association

Anna Chiara Gaude approached the manipulation of clay by experimenting coil, slab and sculpture techniques at the studio of the ceramist Susana Saieg. Here she fell in love with clay and its several possibilities of transformation. In 2017 and 2018 she attended the laboratory of Maria Teresa Frizzarin and Lilli Morgando in Turin, where she discovered and experimented the potter’s wheel techniques. In 2019 she attended the high temperature glazes course held by Kiko, a Piedmontese ceramist.
In life she is also a cook – always hands-on!

PAOLA CERIOTTI

After graduating in Art History at the University of Turin, she collaborates with various associations in the management of educational activities for schools in the fields of art. Since 2009 she has been attending pottery workshops held by Maria Teresa Frizzarin and Lilli Morgando, working on the hand-moulded and pottery-wheel clay processing techniques. In 2013 she attended the "Giocare con l’Arte" training workshops held by Dario Valli at the International Museum of  Ceramics in Faenza and at Munlab - Ecomuseum of the clay in Cambiano (TO), inspired by the experience of Bruno Munari at MIC educational department. From 2015 she’s a kindergarten teacher and continues to work the clay with strong passion

SILVIA MARTINIS

Graduated from the School of Sculpture of Riccardo Cordero at the Albertina Academy of Fine Arts in Turin, she has always been interested in the study of three-dimensionality through the use of different materials, including clay. At the end of the 90s she attended Ebdò ceramic school held by
 Lilli Morgando and Maria Luisa Tribolo. Between 2003 and 2012, she worked as a museum educator at Fondazione Sandretto Re Rebaudengo and GAM, the Civic Gallery of Modern and Contemporary Art in ​​Turin. Currently, she works as a projectionist at the National Cinema Museum in Turin. Meanwhile she pursued her passion for ceramics in her studio in Turin and in Torri Superiore Ecovillage.

STEFANIA SPANEDDA

Primary teacher by profession and ceramist by passion, she lives between Turin and Bosa (OR), combining the professional activity with her creative passion. She has been a student of the ceramists Pina Spadaro, Mimma Nicolosi Palana, Marta Galla and Lilli Morgando. Over the years she has developed a personal artistic language that finds inspiration from the nature and the culture of her homeland: Sardinia.
