PAOLA CERIOTTIAfter graduating in Art History at the University of Turin, she collaborates with various associations in the management of educational activities for schools in the fields of art. Since 2009 she has been attending pottery workshops held by Maria Teresa Frizzarin and Lilli Morgando, working on the hand-moulded and pottery-wheel clay processing techniques. In 2013 she attended the "Giocare con l’Arte" training workshops held by Dario Valli at the International Museum of Ceramics in Faenza and at Munlab - Ecomuseum of the clay in Cambiano (TO), inspired by the experience of Bruno Munari at MIC educational department. From 2015 she’s a kindergarten teacher and continues to work the clay with strong passion |
ANNA CHIARA GAUDEAnna Chiara Gaude approached the manipulation of clay by experimenting coil, slab and sculpture techniques at the studio of the ceramist Susana Saieg. Here she fell in love with clay and its several possibilities of transformation. In 2017 and 2018 she attended the laboratory of Maria Teresa Frizzarin and Lilli Morgando in Turin, where she discovered and experimented the potter’s wheel techniques. In 2019 she attended the high temperature glazes course held by Kiko, a Piedmontese ceramist. In life she is also a cook – always hands-on! |
SILVANA LI PIRA
Silvana Li Pira, ceramist and passionate of African cultures, was educated at the Oriental Institute of Naples and the Albertina Academy of Turin. In 2013 she also obtained a diploma in Ceramic Technician, undertaking a formal research through a playful learning approach. Starting from the Munari method proposed by Dario Valli, head of the "Laboratory Playing with Art" of the International Museum of Ceramics in Faenza, (RA) for several years she has been carrying out workshops for 0-6 yrs and school aged children, she worked at Ceramics Museum in Mondovì (CN) where she conducted workshops for children. In the process of creating she takes African contemporary practises and ancient iconographic traditions as a source of inspiration, she tackles narratives as tools for fluid identity construction, also through the medium of ceramics. |
SILVIA MARTINISGraduated from the School of Sculpture of Riccardo Cordero at the Albertina Academy of Fine Arts in Turin, she has always been interested in the study of three-dimensionality through the use of different materials, including clay. At the end of the 90s she attended Ebdò ceramic school held by Lilli Morgando and Maria Luisa Tribolo. Between 2003 and 2012, she worked as a museum educator at Fondazione Sandretto Re Rebaudengo and GAM, the Civic Gallery of Modern and Contemporary Art in Turin. Currently, she works as a projectionist at the National Cinema Museum in Turin. Meanwhile she pursued her passion for ceramics in her studio in Turin and in Torri Superiore Ecovillage. |
MARILIA NOGUEIRAMarilia Nogueira was born in Brazil. After graduating in Design she moved to Italy, where she worked as a graphic designer and Intercultural Mediator. In 2009 she moved to Eritrea and learned with the local ceramists the traditional method of processing and firing clay. Back to Italy, she continues her journey in the world of ceramics in the laboratory of Lilli Morgando and Maria Teresa Frizzarin, training on the techniques of working clay hand-shaped and on the pottery-wheel. She manages educational workshops for children in the field of ceramics. At the same time, she carries on her personal work as illustrator with passion, mixing different techniques such as watercolor and digital illustration, techniques which she also applies on ceramics. |
FRANCESCA SIMONDISince 2015, she has been passionately approaching the world of ceramics and in particular, the art of pottery on the wheel, training at the Aquarius workshop in Turin under Lilli Morgando and Maria Teresa Frizzarin. Later, she continued her training at the La Meridiana International School of Ceramics in Certaldo (FI) founded by Pietro Elia Maddalena. Between 2017 and 2018, she attended several courses taught by important ceramic masters such as Pietro Elia Maddalena, Franco Rampi, John Colbeck, and Luca Tripaldi. In the summer of 2019, she worked as an assistant to the ceramist John Colbeck at La Meridiana. She organizes and designs pottery wheel courses in Turin and at the Torri Superiore Eco-village. In addition to her passion for ceramics, Francesca Simondi has been working in the contemporary art field for many years. This professional experience culminated in 2020 when she became a partner with Alberto Peola, who in 1989 founded the eponymous gallery Alberto Peola Arte Contemporanea. With Francesca Simondi's entry into the partnership, the historic gallery changed its name to PEOLA SIMONDI. |
STEFANIA SPANEDDAPrimary teacher by profession and ceramist by passion, she lives between Turin and Bosa (OR), combining the professional activity with her creative passion. She has been a student of the ceramists Pina Spadaro, Mimma Nicolosi Palana, Marta Galla and Lilli Morgando.
